My name is Ruth Choolo, a determined and ambitious 22 year old girl. I was born into a family of five consisting of 2 sisters and 2 brothers. I grew up in Chilala Village with my mother who worked tirelessly to provide for the family after my father left home.

My academic journey is a testament to my strength and determination. I am now pursuing my nursing studies at Zambia Institute for Medical and Philological located in Lusaka, capital city of Zambia. This year I will be commencing with my third and final year. I am the only one in our family to be able to continue with tertiary education for which I am very grateful. I am driven by desire to make a difference in the lives of others also.

The financial support I receive from Just One Hope is a life changing sponsorship which allows me to attend classes without any concern or worries about finances. This allows me to focus on my studies and shaping my future. On completion I am looking forward to helping my siblings and others who are struggling as I did.
